Originality Policies
Works submitted to the Meyibó journal must be original and unpublished, and not be simultaneously under review in any other publication.
Contributions from the same author will not be published in consecutive issues. A two-year waiting period is required before resubmitting.
Meyibó will use the iThenticate similarity detection software, among other human and technological mechanisms, in the preliminary evaluation stage of submissions to ensure that works proposed for publication in the journal are unpublished and original. Works found to contain plagiarism will not be accepted. Any instances of text reuse must be reported via explanatory footnotes. In all cases, the diagnoses provided by the iThenticate software will be qualitatively evaluated by the journal's editorial team. The percentage of text similarity will be indicative but will not determine the outcome of the evaluation. If necessary, the diagnostic results may be sent to the authors.
